With the weather changing many of us are now getting out our fall decorations. Burlap is a hot trend for most seasons, but autumn especially. Burlap wreaths are simple to make but leave a lasting impression on those who see them. Once you get into it making burlap wreaths they can take as little as 10 minutes to finish!
What you’ll need:
- Metal Wreath Frame (mine is 18”)
- Floral wire (to secure burlap to the frame)
- Additional burlap, flowers, etc. (for decorations)
Take the burlap and using the floral wire, secure it to the wreath frame.
Push about 3 in. of ribbon through the innermost section of the wreath frame. Continue this through the other 2 sections as well.
Once you have 3 in. of ribbon through each section you will now flip the wreath and make 2-3 twists in the ribbon. Once twisted push to create a bunching effect and begin step 2 again.
Continue steps 2 & 3 the rest of the way around your wreath frame.
Cut any excess ribbon and secure the burlap end to the wreath frame using the floral wire.
