Get a Look Inside “Play Like a Kid Day”

And a fun time was had by all…

One week ago, our company got together to put on a “Play Like a Kid Day!” Our national charity theme for the year benefits children with illnesses, so to move off of that theme we all came together to play like we were a kid, all while raising money for three charities that benefit children.

As a first-year event, we are more than happy with the results! We were joined by The Iowa Barnstormers who took time to challenge each other in Twister, Minute to Win It games, and of course.. the obstacle course! The obstacle course was by far the hit of the day! The Barnstormers were such great sports as they challenged each other, and were challenged by kids who came to participate. Despite their pro-athlete status, they did not run away with the win. The fastest time was won by a daughter challenging her dad with room cleaning/house cleaning on the line! Beyond that little wager, a free lunch was also put on the line for a couple of competitors. One of the funniest parts of the course was how much trouble our adults had with our kids puzzle! The kids nailed it of course. It’s safe to say, we all found our inner kid that day and had a great time getting to play like a kid for the day!

Take a look at through our slideshow to see some of the fun we had!

We would like to give a HUGE thank you to the Iowa Barnstormers for joining us that day. In addition to having fun with us, they were selling discounted tickets to a home game with a portion of every ticket going back to our charities! If you would like tickets, they are still available for the Family Night game on April 16th!

For a few more fun pictures and some funny videos, take a look at the Barnstormers Instagram! Or to read about the event from a different perspective, read this blog written by an Account Executive for the Barnstormers who also joined us for the event.

We also would like to thank each of our charities: Orchard Place, the Miracle League and Paws and Effect. You do such amazing things and we are so happy you were a part of this amazing event with us!
