It is now September, which beckons in the first month we are able to truly celebrate fall. A common misconception about fall is that it starts on the Autumnal Equinox. This is not true. The true start of fall is when Starbucks releases its Pumpkin Spice Latte, or PSL, for the first time of the season. While the original pumpkin flavored innovation will always reign supreme, we thought we’d take a trip through the pumpkin patch to find all the ways we can incorporate pumpkin into our lives this fall (and the rest of the year too, if we’re lucky).
While the original, and best, Pumpkin Spice Latte will always be from Starbucks, there are many other places who have followed their lead and offered up this delicious libation.
- Krispy Kreme
- Dunkin’ Donuts
- Peet’s Coffee
- Caribou Coffee
- Many gas stations
While still on the coffee topic, pumpkin spice coffee creamer is an easy (and delicious) way to have your PSL in the comforts of your home.
There’s no better way to start your day than with something deliciously pumpkin flavored. Pumpkin Spice Cheerios, pumpkin muffins, pumpkins scones, pumpkin spice Nutri-Grain bars, pumpkin spice yogurt, pumpkin spice English muffins, pumpkin spice pancakes and waffles… I could go on and on. Yum!
Snacks and Treats
The list of pumpkin flavored snacks and treats gets bigger and bigger every year. You can enjoy Hershey’s Kisses or M&M’s. If those aren’t your thing, there are many other options. Pumpkin Oreos, pumpkin bars, pumpkin cupcakes, pumpkin peeps, pumpkin spice Lindor Truffles, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin cookies, and even pumpkin Peeps! With so many ways to enjoy its delicious flavor, you can have pumpkin with every meal!
Brace yourselves. Pumpkin has crossed over into new markets and is no longer JUST a delicious treat for us to consume. We can now buy the smell of pumpkin in many different ways! So pumpkin spice is your favorite scent? Of course. Get yourself a pumpkin air freshener or candle and make your home smell like a beautiful fall day, every day. You can also find pumpkin spice personal care items: soap, lotion, chapstick, hand repair cream, shower gel, and even pumpkin scented face mask creams. My mind can’t handle all the different ways to incorporate the best flavor ever into our lives.
Are you still with me? Probably not. Most of you probably jetted off to the store to get all things pumpkin before supplies run out. If you’re still here, let us know what your favorite way to have pumpkin is and something new you’d like to try this year! We can’t wait to hear!
