2017 Summer Blockbusters

Summer is upon us which means only one thing, BLOCKBUSTER MOVIES! Get away from the summer heat and relax with a bucket of popcorn and ice cold soda. Here are the top five summer movies I recommend you see this season.

Alien: Covenant:

The sequel to “Prometheus” brings a new crew on a colony mission to a remote planet but only finds not so welcoming life-forms.  From each trailer brings new jumps, turns, and fears that will keep you awake for many nights. Out in theaters: May 19th, 2017.

The Mummy:

The Mummy franchise gets a modern-day reboot with Tom Cruise in the lead role. Princess Ahmanet is set loose upon the modern world waking up powers that may open a whole new world filled with monsters. An appearance by Dr. Jekyll, played by Russell Crowe, starts Universal Studios’ journey of monster movies to come. Out in theaters: June 9th, 2017.

Despicable Me 3:

Need a movie to take the kids to? Gru and his minions are back for the third installment of the animated comedy hit. The third installment has Gru taking on a villainous 80’s child star voiced by South Park creator, Trey Parker. Gru also starts a sibling rivalry with a twin brother named Drew, he never knew he had. Despicable Me 3 will have you leaving with a smile and happy kids. Out in theaters: June 30th, 2017.

Spider-man: Homecoming:

Marvel is bringing back a young new Spider-Man in a youthful look into Peter Parker. With adrenaline pumping after his experience with the Avengers, Peter goes home to figure out where his place is in his town and in high school. He must soon put his powers to work when the Vulture emerges to threaten everything he’s been working for. Out in theaters: July 7th, 2017.


For the history buffs, check out Dunkirk. May 1940, Germany advanced into Frances trapping British and French troops on the beaches of Dunkirk. Allied forces had to slowly and methodically evacuate from the beach using every type of vessel that could be found. Out in theaters, July 21st.
